Journey to Mount Sinai

  • Jebel al Lawz Tabuk Province Saudi Arabia (map)

Mount Sinai

(Dates tentative.) Embark on this journey of a lifetime as we trace the footsteps of Moses and the Israelites after their escape from Egypt. Explore the site where they crossed the Red Sea, witness the split rock that provided water in the desert, and camp at the base of Mount Sinai (Jebel al Lawz).

This unforgettable experience brings Bible stories to life.

The Rock at Horeb

Towering over 60 feet (18 meters) above the hill where it sits, the Split Rock is believed to be the site where Moses struck the rock for water to come out in the desert.

Sacrificial Altar

We’ll examine the cattle rock art at the golden calf altar and visit the sacrificial altar where kosher animals were offered as burnt offerings.

Climbing Mount Sinai

For the adventurous, there’s an opportunity to summit the mountain, reaching 2,580 meters (8,460 feet). If you prefer a more leisurely experience, you can join us in searching for petroglyphs and ancient artifacts while camping at the base, just as the Israelites did centuries ago.

Mass Gravesite

Explore the vast graveyard of those who perished after worshiping the golden calf.

Camping

We’ll camp at the base and experience Arabic culture which has persisted since before the time of Abraham.
